Position Vacancy: Division Sales Manager (Posted June 15, 2007)
The Division Sales Manager oversees sales function for the specified plant by identifying, soliciting and obtaining sales orders. Manager is also responsible for estimating the required manufacturing, equipment, material and engineering costs for various projects/parts.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and deliver quotations; negotiate contracts/programs
- Evaluate and apply manufacturing processes to determine the most cost effective pricing solution
- Prioritize and manage workloads to produce quotations within the customer’s timeframe
- Interact with internal and external customers and vendors to gather the necessary information to produce accurate quotations
- Serve as primary liaison and maintains relationships with customers, including but not limited to Purchasing, Engineering and Senior Management
- Forecast sales; maintain accurate logs of activity and opportunities
- Make capability and proposal presentations to customers and prospective customers
- Obtain, analyze and communicate competitor intelligence
- Maintain close and positive working relationships with various Company departments, mainly: Production, Quality and Estimating
Desired Qualifications: Candidate should posses a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred) along with at least two years related sales experience in short-run sheet metal stamping. Must have working knowledge of metal finishing and plating. Must also be able to read blueprints at an expert level.

Position Vacancy: Tool & Die Associate (Posted June 5, 2007)
The Tool & Die Associate will build, repair and maintain production tooling specified at the lowest cost, with minimum waste in a timely manner.
Essential Functions

Builds, repairs and optimizes production tooling (both non-complex and compound) while attaining safety, quality and productivity goals

Organize and layout according to blueprint, drawings or other written and/or specifications

Plans the set-up and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants and machine tool feeds/speeds

Perform CNC machining and hand operations to the highest accuracy

Fits and assembles jigs, fixtures, tools and dies. Set-up, runs off and test dies to produce a product to specification, tracing/observing die difficulties to their source and correcting
Desired Qualifications: Minimum of three years Tool & Die experience, must have a strong grasp on trigonometry and have a high degree of understanding of metallurgical characteristics of commonly used tool and die steels. Associate must be able to work evenings and/or weekends.

- Prepares shipments (domestic and international) according to customer requirement for UPS, FedEx or various LTL Carriers, selects appropriate container and packs items to ensure safe delivery
- Prepares Bills of Lading; checks items to be shipped against Job card to assure that quantities, destination and routing are correct
- Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers
- Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory, which is shipped or received
- Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
- Maintain department database and file shipping/receiving records
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and practices
